Meet Davina: Storyteller

I’m passionate about travel, always have been. I’m not a full-time traveler; I’m a “slow traveler” at heart. This means I want to experience foreign cultures as intensely as possible. Originally from Ghent, Belgium, I spent a year as an au pair in Australia before moving to the US in 2016. After four years near New York City, I settled in Leesburg, Virginia, just a stone’s throw from Washington D.C. I’ve been using both locations as my base to discover the rest of North America.

Today, I usually travel with my husband and two children (ages 2 and 5), but solo and couple trips are also still on the calendar. We’ve mastered the art of traveling with little ones without losing the soul of the journey. Whether I am exploring the “Real United States,” uncovering hidden gems in Europe, or rigorously testing travel gear as an Amazon Vine Voice, my goal is to provide my community with the most reliable, field-tested advice possible.
